The House

The House

The house dates back to the nineteenth century and comprises of three floors, with the main accommodation based over the first two floors and NEW for 2015 a Master en-suite bathroom in the newly converted loft. It is a traditional style French stone property with thick stone walls and shutters, which keep the house nice and cool in the summer.

The House - Downstairs

You enter the house from the front garden in to the lounge, where you have a extra large sofa and arm chair. There is a wood burner for those cosy nights. There is a bookcase, with some books and a Smart TV with bluray DVD player and FreeSat TV by Sky should you not want to miss your favourite programme or just keep the kids occupied whilst you prepare lunch. There is also a selection of DVD's for guest to use. We also have an iPod, iPhone music doc (upto 4s compatible) for listening to music or just charging.



The lounge leads through to a fully fitted kitchen with a hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher everything you need rustle up a meal to dine ‘al fresco’ on the patio. Just outside the back door, off the patio is the store shed which houses a washing machine for guests use.



If you fancied something more formal, back through the lounge and past the stairs is the dining room with table & chairs seating six, with a high-chair available on request at no extra charge. At the other end of the dining room is another sofa and chairs for somewhere to sit after a nice meal and to enjoy a glass or two of wine. There are some more books in the bookcase and some family games to while a away the evening hours. These is wifi internet connection available and we also provide a laptop for guests to use.




The House - Upstairs (First Floor)

At the end of the night head up the wooden stairs located between the lounge & dining room where you will find the 2 bedrooms and bathroom (Towels Supplied). One of the bedrooms have king size bed and the second has a single bed & bunk beds. All bedding is supplied and travel cot + bedding is available on request for families with babies, we also supply a couple of stairgates.


As you get to the top of the stairs, the first door on your right is a triple bedroom with lovely wooden floor and 1 single bed & bunk beds. There is a large 3 door wardrobe with both shelves & hanging rail. There is also a chest of drawers, which also has a small portable DVD TV. There is a large window which looks out to the front of the house across the village square. NEW for 2015 the room has been enlarged so there is now a seating area with as additional small TV Video player, there is also a small selection of videos in the set of chest a drawers.


As you leave the bedroom you walk across the landing towards the bathroom and on your left is the large double bedroom. Here you will find a tiled floor, metal framed king size bed, 2 bed side tables with drawers. There is also a large chest of drawers & wardrobe. There is a large window which looks out to the front of the house across the village square.


Back out of the bedroom and to the left is the bathroom, which has a shower, basin & toilet. There is also a heated towel rail and a storage cupboard to keep your towels in. There is a big window which looks out across the rear garden and the countryside.




The House - Upstairs (Second Floor) - NEW for 2015

Accessed via the triple bedroom you go up the stairway by the window into our new open plan loft conversion which offers a Master bedroom en-suite. To the left is the bedroom area with a oak king size bed with 3000 pocket sprung mattress and egyptian cotton sheets & Laura Ashley bedding. There are two oak bedside tables & double oak wardrobe. There is also a hairdryer located in the wardrobe. Opposite the bed is a 2 seater sofa & side tables. We also have an additional wifi router for internet access (All bed linen is supplied). 



Walking from the bedroom area we have an open plan area where there is a an oak chest of drawers and vanity mirror. There are also 2 small wooden chairs.


The ensuite bathroom boasts a bath, separate enclosed shower, basin with wash cupboard and large mirrored illuminated cabinet with shaver socket. There is also a toilet and heated towel rail. (All towels supplied)
