Day at the beach

Lac de Saint-Pardoux_LARGE

In the heart fo South-West France and land locked with the nearest coastline 2hrs away, doesn't mean you have to travel that far to enjoy a day at the beach. The Limousin region is known as the 'land of a thousand lakes' and also the 'Lake district of France'. You can go far without coming across a lake which provide swimming, play parks, place to each, fishing, watersports and other activities. A large proportion of these also have man-made beaches, which are kept very clean.

Whilst Lac de Saint-Pardoux is not the nearest lake with a beach, that is Chaillac only 15 mins away, Saint-Pardoux is the largest in the Haute-Vienne departement and is only just over 30 min drive from La Maison de Cromac. About thirty kilometers north of Limoges, discover the Lake Saint-Pardoux and 330 acres dedicated to recreation, the second largest lake in the Limousin.
